Wood-firing is an ancient method in which the melted ash provides a majority of the color and surface texture of each piece. The signature earth tones and runny drips associated with Wood-Firing give each piece a unique character. As the “Kiln Master” of East Creek Anagama, Cindy experimented with the process of wood-firing for many years. Her woodfire pieces draw attention to the drama and line of the ash affects created by the process.
